The African savannah comes to life on your stage with Simba, Rafiki and an unforgettable cast of characters as they journey from Pride Rock to the jungle… and back again, in this inspiring, coming-of-age tale.

This is a full production with costumes, sets, light/sound design, and incredible performances for family and friends! Everyone registered is in the show! Auditions will be held at the first two rehearsals (January 11th and 13th ) to determine who will play which role. You do not need to prepare anything for the audition. All audition materials will be provided/taught.

Please double check all dates/times. Performers must be able to attend both rehearsals each week in their entirety. Performers can miss a maximum of 3 rehearsals and all tech rehearsals/performances are mandatory.

General Information:

Grades: 3rd-8th grade

Start Date: January 11, 2027

Rehearsal Days/Times: Mondays, 3:15pm-4:45pm AND Wednesdays, 1pm-2:30pm (must be available both days each week)

Mandatory Tech Rehearsals: April 19th, 20th, and 21st (3-4 hours after school, exact times TBD)

Mandatory Performance Dates: April 22nd-23rd, 2027

All rehearsals and performances will take place at St. Frances Cabrini

If you will be mailing a check without the fees ($395) to Starting Arts, choose the “Mail a check” option at the end of the payment process (you will be given the mailing address). If you are paying by check, your information is in our system once you submit it, but your registration will only be considered complete when the check is received.
