Starting Arts Talent Night!

Bring your talent to the stage this October! We are looking for singers, dancers, jugglers, magicians, puppeteers, or whatever your talent might be to join us for a week of workshopping and then performing your talent for an audience of family and friends at The Historic Hoover Theater.

How the week will go:

October 12th, 5pm-7:30pm: A group workshop led by Mike Boston and Lizzie Izyumin on stage presence/showmanship, how to be comfortable using a microphone, and confidence-building theatre games.

October 13th and 14th, 3:30pm-7:30pm: you will choose a timeslot to get individualized feedback and guidance from the Starting Arts team on how to showcase your specific talent for an audience.

October 15th and 16th, evening (exact times TBD): Perform your talent for an audience of family and friends at the official Starting Arts Talent Night!

General Information: 

Grades: 2nd-5th (from any school!)

Location (for the entire week): The Historic Hoover Theater- 1635 Park Ave. in San Jose

Cost: $25 for participants (there will be an additional ticket fee for audience members to attend performance nights)

All refunds must be requested prior to the start date
An additional Paypal/Credit Card service fee will be added if you choose the PayPal/Credit Card payment option. Your registration will be complete immediately if you pay by credit card. If you will be mailing a check without the fees ($25) to Starting Arts, choose the “Mail a check” option at the end of the payment process (you will be given the mailing address). If you are paying by check, your information is in our system once you submit it, but your registration will only be considered complete when the check is received.
