Jake Lake is honored to return to Starting Arts as a Program Director in addition to resuming teaching music during school and music directing. He previously served as the Artistic Administrator for Opera San José from 2012-2016, and currently is Treasurer for the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions – San Francisco District. He has taught music and worked as a choral conductor for a variety of institutions in the Bay Area, including Starting Arts in San José, the San Francisco Boys Chorus, and the Oakland Boys and Girls Club. He received his Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where he studied with Leroy Kromm and Jane Randolph, and piano with Alla Gladysheva.  He received further training in Kodaly Education at Holy Names College, Oakland, and maintains a private voice studio in San Francisco.
