Stone Soup: A Rock Opera
Directed by Adrienne Marquette
This virtual musical brings to life a famous folktale in which hungry strangers convince the people in a town to each share a little of their food in order to create a meal for everyone to enjoy. With fun music and a heartfelt message about the value of sharing, students are sure to get a lot out of this creative endeavor.
This is a virtual production with rehearsals happening once a week on zoom. The final week will be a recording week where the director will guide and record students performing their roles. Then, the final the videos will be professionally edited together to create the final product. As the “performance,” Starting Arts will host a virtual watch party so students can invite friends and family (from anywhere!) to see their talent and hard work on film.
