Cindy Heen has been dancing since the age of 2 and teaching dance since 2006. Currently she is a professional dancer, choreographer, educator, and a graduate from Mills College with her MFA in Dance. With her studies, she is a dance scholar. Cindy has her own dance company titled Emergence Dance in the Bay Area, where she has been an artist in residence with SAFEhouse Arts. Some of Cindy’s choreography credits include: American Dance Legend (Season 3), The Pajama Game, Legally Blonde, Grease, Joseph and The Technicolor Dreamcoat, Seussical, Aladdin Jr The Musical, Lion King Junior, & School House Rocks.
She has choreographed for several studios on a competitive and artistic level in the genres of ballet, jazz, contemporary, musical theatre, and modern. She has danced for various dance companies in California and Florida including: Santa Clara Ballet, Left Coast Chamber Ensemble, Dawn Branch Works , Emotions Dance Company, and Vixen Talent Productions. She has been a guest performer with Aretuza’s Ballerina Project, Center for Contemporary Dance, and various other companies and choreographers.
