Pop-Opera Vocal Workshop

Description:

opera_girlLearn how to vocalize, perform, and perfect songs from classic Broadway musicals like Sound of Music, Phantom of the Opera and more! Teaching Artist Nicole Cooper has over 10 years of experience in musical theater and opera, and specializes in building confident singers. Students will have the opportunity to work on a prepared song in an engaging and fun environment. Memorization is encouraged but not required.
Those who sign up can bring their own sheet music of classical musical theater songs or can email nicolec@startingarts.com for recommendations.

Grade: 6th grade-12th grade
Cost: $65
A minimum of 8 students is required to run this workshop

Monologue and Audition Workshop for Teens

Description:

monologue_workshopIn this workshop students will learn and explore basic audition techniques including: improvisation, monologues and cold readings. Students will build up their comfort level, boost their self esteem and develop audition skills they can use on stage and in any social situation. This workshop will be led by Liz Stimson, Starting Arts Instructor and De Anza College Theatre Arts adjunct faculty member.

Please come with a prepared monologue (it does not need to be memorized).
