Aladdin Jr.

Fall 2008

Aladdin Jr.

Aladdin Jr. is a show about dreams, wants, and, yes, wishes. Whether we search for something as necessary as a loaf of bread (mmm, sourdough!), as basic as our individual freedom, or as lofty as the hand of a beautiful princess, we all know what it is to wish for something we want more than anything else. In this play, we find the many ways in which these dreams can be realized, and sometimes in ways we never could have imagined.

My experience as director of Silver Oak’s production of Aladdin Jr. is another example of a dream that has been realized far beyond anything I could ever have imagined. With exceptional work being done by the cast, a creative team that far surpassed my vision for the show, and the incredible support from all of the parents who helped out with the production, this has been a fantastic experience for me to have been a part of. I thank absolutely everyone involved in this production!
