Aladdin Jr.

Fall 2007

Aladdin Jr.

Aladdin has been great for fun for all involved! The students have worked hard and their work has paid off. The students have loved performing a story that is somehow imbedded in the sub conscious mind of every child in America as well as around the word. But the best part of the experience is the incredible growth that can take place in just a few months in a child’s ability to concentrate and fulfill the expectations set out for them. Part of what children learn by going through the process of putting on a play is how to work independently as well cooperatively. For most of our students this is their first experience at creating something as a team, not much different than the ways in which professionals must work together in order to accomplish a common goal in the “real world”. In this case the common goal is performing a play. I’m thrilled to say that our students have risen to the high expectations set for them and have accomplished their task.

Finally I would like to thank parents and teachers for their many efforts in costuming, set building, providing snacks and line memorization. Your support and hard work has been invaluable. And now….ON WITH THE SHOW!!!

Best Regards,
Michael Boston, Director
