Bye Bye Birdie

Bye Bye Birdie is such a popular musical! Not only did it get its start on Broadway with Dick Van Dyke and Chita Rivera, but it was also made into a movie twice, the first time with Dick Van Dyke and Janet Leigh, and the second time with Jason Alexander and Vanessa Williams. One of the most produced musicals in community theatres and high schools all over the country, it is presented to you tonight by middle school students, some of whom have never been on a stage before!!! What was at first a collection of individual students, many who didn’t even know each other, gathered to participate in the school play, has now unified to become a dedicated musical theatre cast and crew. These kids have worked very, very hard to learn all their lines, music and choreography, and we know you will enjoy the show!!
