The Worst High School Play In The World

The Worst High School Play in the World is one of the best middle school plays I've come across in a while (in my humble opinion). It's a play within a play, which pays homage to many of the classics, Hamlet, Tarzan, The Lion King and Robin Hood just to mention a few. The main story is wrapped in the story of the cast, crew and director of the show trying to make it through opening night with as few mistakes as possible. As you might guess, they fail miserably in this quest.

Mounting this show has been tough but fun. The cast was faced with 80 pages of dialogue to memorize, with just a few weeks to do it in. To my delight the cast was enthusiastic about their challenge, accomplishing the memorization with ease (for the most part). We have a small cast, which helped with focus. The cast's enthusiasm shone through at every rehersal as we heard each joke for the tenth, eleventh, and twelfth times they were still laughing, as was I.

With that said I hope you have as much fun watching the show as we have had putting together the production. So sit back, relax and get ready to laugh at The Worst High School Play in the World.
