Alice In Wonderland Jr.
Fall 2009
Curiouser and curiouser! Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" (1865) and its sequel, "Through the Looking Glass" (1871) fascinated Walt Disney so much that in 1923 he made a short cartoon called "Alice's Wonderland" - and placed a live-action girl in a cartoon world. Other filmmakers - at least a dozen - also produced their own versions of the story. Finally, a feature-length Disney film in 1951 came out filled with some of Disney's most fantastic art design, animation and songs, and a contemporary version of the story featuring Johnny Depp will be released soon in movie theatres. I hope that our version of Alice's adventure will entertain you! -Diana Torres Koss
