From Roald Dahl's "Charlie & The Chocolate Factory" to the classic film "Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory" starring Gene Wilder to the remake starring Johnny Depp, kids of all ages have been enthralled with the story of the mysterious and magical Willy Wonka for 45 years. And who can blame them? Imagination, chocolate and candy galore, and the promise of a Golden Ticket are just a few of the sweet and delicious treats that fill this timeless tale. For the first production at St. Justin's in conjunction with Starting Arts, I couldn't be happier that "Willy Wonka" is the show we've decided to do. The fun you see on stage tonight will be a peek into the magical world that we've had the pleasure to inhabit from the beginning of the rehearsal process to this very night. Amy Baker and I have had the honor of working with the wonderful children who will be performing for you tonight, and we're only sad to see this all come to an end. Bittersweet, for certain, but perhaps another Golden Ticket will be found and we'll get the chance to do it all again next year! For now, though, on behalf of the actors and crew, take a look and you'll see into our imaginations... Enjoy! -Michael Champlin
