We would like to invite you to travel back in time with us to the year 1933, the height of the Great Depression. Times were tough, people were struggling, but I think that these characters find what we are finding today: that in tough times, love and human compassion help us through. And, who better to deliver this message than this talented group of young actors.

This show has been a labor of love, and would not have been possible without an incredible amount of hard work. What you are about to see is a truly a testament to the amazingly gifted students of Cumberland Elementary, their teachers, and of course, their wonderful parents.

So sit back, relax, and enjoy the show. And remember, even if it is a "hard knock life," "the sun will come out tomorrow."
