Starting Arts is excited to be at Easterbrook Discovery School!
Starting Arts is a nonprofit organization that provides visual and performing arts education programs to public and private schools throughout the Santa Clara County. We employ professional artists who enjoy working with children and also meet the hiring standards of the Moreland School District. We are committed to quality!
We are offering a Theatre program for students in grades 3-8 on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school starting November 13. This year the students will be performing “HONK!” Performances are scheduled for February 14 & 15. The last week of classes will be used for mandatory rehearsals. A tech schedule will be sent out during the first month of class.
Theatre Schedule:
Tuesday / Thursday 3:00-4:30 pm
November 13 - February 15
Location: Mulripurpose Room
Grades: 3-8
PLEASE NOTE: Most classes require additional time (outside of class) for student practice, rehearsals and performances. Students will be required to provide their own costumes and shoes.
Students choosing to enroll MUST commit to respectful behavior and regular attendance. Like team sports, performing arts requires participation, dedication and teamwork. Repeated unexcused absences or poor attitude may result in student dismissal and could affect acceptance into subsequent sessions.
The deadlines for returning enrollment forms for Theatre is November 13. Enrollment is limited; however, classes need a minimum of 20 students to cover costs. Overbooked classes will be filled by lottery. Refunds will be made if classes are unavailable.
The total cost for enrolling in this Theatre program is $150 per student. Your cost for enrolling your child is $75. Moreland School District has generously offered to pay the additional cost of $75 per student to bring this program to your children. We are very grateful for their support of the arts.
