Terra Phase 1: Summer 2011(Completed)
During the first phase (now completed), students had the opportunity to work on the script and characters, did preliminary costuming, location scouting and on-location filming. Cost: $1000.
Terra Phase 2: October & December 2011(Completed)
In this phase, students will finalize the script, develop the characters, work on costuming and effects, audition for roles, and cast the film. During the school holiday break in December, students will create the trailer for the film Terra. Classes will be held Mondays and Fridays from 3:30-5:00 pm (Oct. 3, 7, 17, 21, 24, 28—no classes the week of Oct. 10) and during the December holiday break (Dec. 18, 19, 20, 21). Cost: $250
Terra Phase 3: Summer 2012(July 16-August 3rd) This summer will be a Short Film Camp which will evolve into a feature film once we secure final funding.The Short Film will be the 10-15 minute introduction to the TERRA world, and the back story of the Empress Amara character. The short will be a stand-alone piece, but will also be edited together with the Feature Film, as its introduction. Camp will consist of full days (9AM- 5PM) for 3 weeks and will be a combination of studio shooting (location TBD), location shooting.Kids will be needed for at least 1evening on-location for night-shooting. It will be on one of the Fridays. There will be a strong picture-editing component to the Short Film Camp, which will highlight the actual editing of the film into a story - for those who have voiced interest in the editing process. (this will include, editing the picture together, adding music, and adding sound effects) and taking the raw footage and creating the finished piece. The price for the Short Film Camp will be $650. This program is split into 4 parts throughout the year with the majority of the film being shot during the summer. Films are taught and produced by trained film professionals James Fox, Owner/Director, Dawnrunner Productions and Geoff Peck, Director of Photography, Dawnrunner Productions. The goal of this program is to educate students in advanced film-making techniques and on-camera acting by creating an actual feature length film.
