Jodie Topping
"Art is not what you see, but what you make others see." - Edgar Degas
Jodie Topping has worked professionally as both an artist and a teacher, and she thoroughly enjoys combining the two. She began her career as a graphic designer, getting her B.S. degree in Design from San Jose State University in 1998. Jodie worked as a professional graphic designer for several firms in Palo Alto.
Wanting to expand her realm of people that she reached and influenced, Jodie went back to school in 2001 to get her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. Over the past eight years, she has taught 2nd and 3rd grade in the Campbell Union School District. During her teaching career, she has also taught art to multiple K-5 classes. Jodie strongly believes in being a lifelong learner of all subjects and interests, and that each student has the potential for greatness.
Outside of the classroom, Jodie is a mother of almost 5 year old Kailey and nearly 1 year old Cole. She enjoys all kinds of arts and crafts whenever she can fit it in. She also enjoys passing on her life of art to her curious daughter.
