Margherita is a DMA certified dance instructor and has a Bachelor degree in Science from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pa. She originally trained in Philadelphia at the Cowanova Dance Academy with Patsy Kelly Turner ( Radio city Music Hall Ballet Co & Rockettes ) and Florence Cowanova. She also trained with Philadanco ( Horton Modern), and at the Jazz Dance Center with Simon Braun (Luigi style Jazz). Margie performed and choreographed for various dance companies including Yazzu Dance Company, Next Generation Dance Company and The Cowanova dance ensemble at various venues including the Academy of Music and Movement Theater International in Philadelphia, Pa.

In New York, she continued her professional training with Luigi, Diana Laurenson (Theater Dance/ BDC), Dana Moore (Fosse Jazz /STEPS ), Elyah and Zoya Gaft (formerly w/ Marchinsky Ballet), and Lenor Latimer (former Jose Limon Modern dancer). Margie taught Ballet, Lyrical, Modern, Jazz, Tap and Theater dance and movement for several private studios, public and private schools and theaters companies in the New York City area. She was a member of the creative team and original choreographer for an Off Broadway production of a new musical, “No More Waiting” in NYC. Margie has choreographed several musicals “Kiss Me Kate”, “Damn Yankees”, “Crazy for You”, “Oliver”, and various Broadway revues for community theater (Elmwood Playhouse), high schools and colleges in the New York metropolitan area. She is now thrilled to live in the bay area and to be part of the faculty at Starting Arts.
