Mary Kalita

Mary is a professional dancer and actor with over 15 years of experience. A recent Bay Area transplant, she grew up in the Chicago area, where she trained with The School of DanceWest Ballet. Mary went on to apprentice with DanceWest Ballet Company before transitioning into musical theatre. Mary attended Millikin University and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. Her performance credits include roles in 42nd Street, The Producers, Cats, Showboat, Little Shop of Horrors, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Jesus Christ Superstar, Mack and Mabel, Pardon My English, No No Nanette, James and the Giant Peach, Proof, and A Christmas Carol.

Mary has taught ballet, jazz, tap, and musical theatre dance to children and adults, beginning through advanced levels for the past 10 years. She has been with Starting Arts since 2007 and has served as choreographer to Starting Arts' productions of Into the Woods, Pirates of Penzance, Aladdin, and Seussical.
