Gabrielle Scott
"It took me four years to paint like Raphael, but a lifetime to paint like a child." - Pablo Picasso
Gabrielle Scott, more commonly called Gabi, taught visual art for 6 years in central Missouri to public elementary and middle school students. During the summer, she conducted intensive summer school art classes and for many years was an instructor for the Eureka Arts Council Summer Art Smart Workshops in the St. Louis area. After moving to the bay area, Gabi was seeking a way to continue teaching art to young students and has found that with Starting Arts.
When outside of the classroom, Gabi enjoys designing functional art including knitting, sewing, jewelry making, and other artistic craft genres. She currently has her work at The Painted Daisy, a fine craft boutique in Eureka, MO, her hometown.
Gabrielle Scott graduated cum laude with her B.S.E in Art Education from the University of Central Missouri with an emphasis in ceramics. She was active in many organizations but was most notably in the marching band and was also one of the founding members of Art Teachers of the Future.
