Harry Reed

Harry Reed is a Santa Clara County native who has been playing professionally and singing on the Northern California Jazz and Pop scene since 1970. Mr. Reed has a BA and Lifetime Secondary Credential from California State University at San Jose. He has been the musical Director for First Immanual Lutheran Church since 1974, directed a music and drama touring group of high school and college age students on a 28 city tour of the Western US. He worked 6 seasons with the San Jose Youth Symphony, 6 seasons with the San Jose Wind Ensemble, 1 season with the San Jose Symphony, and 2 seasons with the City Light Opera.
Harry has written and self published 4 titles, composed and written 4 musicals and over 70 songs. He has a wealth of experience with major instruments; piano, guitar, all brass woodwind and percussion. He has owned and operated Reed's Printing and Marketing for 9 years, Focal Pointe Marketing 10 years and Reed's Music Studio in downtown San Jose for 22 years.
Harry has been teaching in the San Jose Unified School District for the last 6 years. He is currently the Band Director at Trace Elementary Performing Arts magnet school, along with two other schools in San Jose Unified School District.
