Irene Kwok

Irene Kwok is a talented musician with a gift for working with children. Her lifelong passion for music has recently drawn her out of the corporate world to further study and perform choral music, direct youth choir and teach music to children with special needs.
Irene started and directed the St. Jude’s Children’s Choir in Cupertino for the past five years. She also regularly played for church services at St. Jude’s and also Holy Light Episcopal church in Campbell. In the past year, Irene was also an accompanist for the Bel Canto Choir, a high school choir at the Harker School in San Jose, and also an accompanist for the Gloria children’s choir of St. Andrew’s Episcopal church in Saratoga. She also recently joined the staff at the Crystal Children’s Choir as an accompanist.
In the summer of 2007, Ms. Kwok sang with the Stanford Summer Chorus under Mr. Rafael Ornes. In the past she also sang with the St. Jude's Adult Choir and the Chamber Singers of Notre Dame de Namur University (NDNU). Ms. Kwok also taught music to youths with special needs at the Organization of Special Needs Families in Cupertino for several years and teaches piano privately.
In May 2007, Ms. Kwok graduated from NDNU with a Masters in Music, concentrating in the area of choral conducting, where she studied under Shulamit Hoffman of Viva la Musica! She also studied voice under Dr. Lee Strawn.
